This is an image of a page or pages from a newspaper that is in the public domain in its country of origin and in the United States. All the pictures, legible text and other creative elements in the page image(s) are either known to be in the public domain, or are assumed to be in the public domain because the newspaper was published more than 120 years ago, copyright lasts 70 years after the death of the author in the country of origin, and a reasonably diligent search has found no author who lived later than 1954.

The PD-newspaper-assumed template creates a license message on page images from newspapers that are in the public domain, and where all individual contributions (text and images) are illegible or may be assumed to be in the public domain.
The template automatically sets the following categories: Collective works or Collective works of [Country]

Use this template for images of pages from newspapers where all pictures and legible text are known to be in the public domain or assumed to be in the public domain because the newspaper was published more than 120 years ago, copyright lasts 70 years after the death of the author in the country of origin, and a reasonably diligent search has found no author who lived later than 1954. Also provide a US license tag such as {{PD-US-expired}}.
