This image is a screenshot of a movie trailer physically owned by SabuCat Productions, Inc. from the Internet Archive. According to this page, all movie trailers owned by SabuCat Productions, Inc. are in the public domain in the United States, as they were published before 1964 and they copyright were not renewed, they were published before 1978 and without a copyright notice or they were published before March 1, 1989 without copyright notice and their copyright were not registered within 5 years from the year of publication.



To the uploader: Upload only screenshots of movie trailers first published in the United States. All images (with a few exceptions) hosted at Commons must be in the public domain also in their source countries. Most non-U.S. movie trailers at the Internet Archive are not in the public domain in their source countries. Images in the public domain only in the United States should be uploaded instead to the English Wikipedia.


This image might not be in the public domain outside of the United States. This especially applies in the countries and areas that do not apply the rule of the shorter term for US works, such as Canada, Mainland China (not Hong Kong or Macao), Germany, Mexico, and Switzerland.

Usage[edit]

  • Use {{PD-SabuCat|renewal}}, if the image is a screenshot of a movie trailer published before 1964 and its copyright was not renewed.
  • Use {{PD-SabuCat|notice}}, if the image is a screenshot of a movie trailer published before 1978 and without a copyright notice.
  • Use simply {{PD-SabuCat}}, if you do not know which of the cases above apply.

Upload only screenshots of movie trailers first published in the United States, unless you are sure, that the non-U.S. movie trailer is in the public domain in its source country.
