Usage

Use this template to add a reference to a species on the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service Plants Database.

Note: This template can be used in conjunction with {{Taxoconflict}}, {{Taxa}}, {{Genera}}, {{Genera2}}, {{Species}}, {{Species2}} and {{Subspecies}} with parameter "source=NRCSPlants" (See here the different values for source)

Syntax

Parameters

• id

the id of the species on Plants database.

How to retrieve the id: use the search box on the Plants Database home page to retrieve the page for the desired species.
In the url http://plants.usda.gov/core/profile?symbol=PATO4 the id is PATO4

Sample (for Packera tomentosa): PATO4

• name (optional)

The name of the species

Sample (for Packera tomentosa): Packera tomentosa

• authority (optional)

The naming authority for the species

Sample (for Packera tomentosa): (Michx.) C. Jeffrey

• validity (optional)

If the genus is considered as unaccepted or a synonym.
