Purpose[edit]
Use this template to request speedy courtesy deletion of a file that you have uploaded recently (within the last seven days) and is not in use.
Usage[edit]
This template should always be subst'd on the file page, e.g.: {{subst:my bad upload}} (which you can copy-paste into the page). This will place the markup {{SD|G7}} on the page. As explained at Commons:Criteria for speedy deletion, "G7" means "Original author or uploader requests deletion of recently created (<7 days) unused content."
For author/uploader requests for deletion of content that is older a deletion request should be filed instead. Keep in mind that older content is more likely to be used by external websites, which would not show up in Special:GlobalUsage.
In most cases, a Commons admin will grant that courtesy, especially if you give a good reason in the Edit Summary. However, please remember, when you grant a license, that is irrevocable, and an admin may use their judgment whether to grant the deletion.
This is equivalent to placing the following directly on the page:
