Template:HugeSVG

A series of patches for this bug (MediaWiki and libsvg) has been applied to Commons and other Wikimedia's MediaWiki installations, and most of the affected files are now rendered as PNG correctly. However, the problem still persist for some other files. Users: Use this template only if the PNG preview seems empty and if you get «Huge input lookup» error when opening a PNG preview, caused by huge (>10 MiB filesize) SVGs (see Documentation bellow). If your SVG is rendered incorrectly, check first if the original SVG is valid and properly displayed in your browser (in doubt, edit it with any vector graphics editor like Inkscape, do the corresponding adjustments, and then export it; if possible, losslessly-optimize it). If the huge SVG previously affected is now properly displayed, don't remove this template; instead, add the parameter resolved=yes as explained in the Documentation. Administrators: Don't delete this template, even if the solution for the bug has been confirmed and applied! This template is used to track the files affected by this bug.

This template is intended to place a warning on SVG files that exceed a 10 MB file size; The MediaWiki software is unable to render thumbnails for the most of the huge SVG files, resulting in blank thumbnails (actually an error message). Optionally, this template accepts a parameter where you can link a raster version (PNG or TIFF, preferably in high resolution, max 20000x20000px to avoid thumbnail rendering issues) of the SVG one, to be used in other projects.
