- Usage
- Use this template to add a reference to a taxon on the web site GBIF by providing the taxon id on GBIF.
- Note: This template can be used in conjunction with {{Taxoconflict}}, {{Taxa}}, {{Genera}}, {{Genera2}}, {{Species}}, {{Species2}} or {{Subspecies}} with parameter "source=GBIF" (See here the different values for source)

- id
- the id of the taxon on GBIF web site.
- How to retrieve the id: In the url http://data.gbif.org/species/14863289 the id is 14863289
- Sample (for Lithobates): 2427046
- name
- The name of the taxon with its author (don't forget italic for genus and species)
- Sample (for Lithobates): ''Lithobates'' Fitzinger, 1843
- validity (optional)
- If the taxon is considered as unaccepted or synonym by GBIF, add nv.
- Sample (for Lithobates): nv
- checks=no (optional)
- This template compares the parameter <speciesId> with the property P846 stored in wikidata (Not in case nv is provided because taxon is not valid).
- When different, a maintenance category is added.
- checks=no disables this test when {{GBIF}} does not describe the taxon described in wikidata (Happens when there are multiple call to {{GBIF}} on the same category/gallery, mainly in monotypic taxons)
