Before saving, do not forget to:

• Replace SHORT DESCRIPTION with a description of the image (approximately three words)
• Select the correct format: portrait (images taller than they are wide), landscape (wider than tall), panorama (very wide), or square (about square)
• Use this directory of galleries to find the correct gallery for your nomination. Copy the gallery location, including the section, in place of [[Commons:Featured pictures/<add the gallery here>]]. For example, an exterior photo of a church in Australia should be categorized as [[Commons:Featured_pictures/Places/Architecture/Religious_buildings#Australia]].
• Edit the information for "created by", "uploaded by", and "nominated by", replacing USERNAME with the relevant names

Now click save. You have now created the nomination page for voting and comments

To complete the nomination:

• Copy the following customized text:

• Paste the text at the top of the Featured picture candidate list (just below the comment:LIST OF NOMINATIONS)

• Please do all of this ASAP, if you add your nomination to the candidate list days after you created the nomination page then our FPCBot usually gets angry and tries to close your nomination before the 9-day time frame.
