This template can be used to create a year and month navigation box for month–year categories (eg Category:January 2005).

Usage

Please consider before creating new month–year categories – there should exist a comprehensive topical categorization for the subject first.

Template parameters

Parameter	Description		Default	Status

years_header			empty	optional

decade	The decade with 1–3 digits. E.g. 200 for 2001.		empty	required
year	The last digit of the year. E.g. 1 for 2001.		empty	required
month	The months with numbers 1 to 12. E.g. 1 for January and 12 for December.		empty	required
cat_prefix	Text in category name before the year		empty	optional
cat_suffix	Text in category name after the year		empty	optional
displayredlinks	Red links are displayed by default. Set displayredlinks=no to hide them.		empty	optional
