According to the Ord. 112/14 of December 2010, all the contents published by the Government of Chile in its digital platforms (aka. their own Websites, social networks, and external services like their official Flickr accounts) after December 30, 2010, are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 (CC-BY-3.0) Chile license. The Ord. 112/14 of December 2010 is explicit and mandatory, and apply to every website of every entity administrated by the Government of Chile, regardless any restriction or incompatible licensing present at some websites (that are just not yet updated). This template is intended to be used to those contents.

Ensure that the files are properly licensed:

  • Check if the file is still at the source (unless if it was already reviewed; see also at Internet Archive)
  • Check if the file was not previously published elsewere than a Government of Chile website or official account
  • Check if the file was not published before December 30, 2010
  • Check if the file is already in the Public domain in Chile, according to {{PD-Chile}} and {{PD-Chile-doc}} (then, correct the licensing)

f) Los estándares válidos para la comunicación digital del Gobierno de Chile serán
   fijados de acuerdo a lo establecido por el World Wide Web Consortium (W3C),
   organización internacional que produce recomendaciones, las cuales se aplican
   para los sitios web chilenos. El contenido que se genere en las plataformas
   digitales y sitios electrónicos deberá ser publicado bajo licencia “Creative
   Commons” de atribución, a fin de permitir a las personas copiar y distribuir la
   obra, reconociendo la autoría del autor. Todas las plataformas digitales y medios
   sociales deberán tener identificados una dirección física y un teléfono válido
   de contacto y seguir los parámetros de diseño planteados en el sitio web
   www.gob.cl/manual-de-normas-graficas.

f) The valid standards for the Government of Chile digital communication will be
   set according to the established by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C),
   international organization that produces recommendations, wich apply for the
   Chilean websites. The content generated in the digital platforms and electronic
   sites should be released under the "Creative Commons" attribution license, in order
   to allow the people to copy and distribute the work, recognizing the authorship of
   the author. All the digital platforms and social media should have identified a
   phisical address and a valid phone number and follow the design parameters outlined
   in the website www.gob.cl/manual-de-normas-graficas.
