This template is intended to help users with requesting a batch rename for files with similar names needing a similar replacement.

Usage

This template must be substituted using {{subst:BatchRename}} instead of {{batchRename}}. Maintenance: Check for un-substituted usage.

Template parameters

Parameter	Description		Default	Status
1 wrong old	Wrong/old string	The string in the old name that needs to be replaced with the new string	empty	required
2 correct new	New string	The new string that replaces the old string in the file name	empty	required
3 criterion	Rename criterion	The rename criterion for the requested rename	empty	required
