Untitled[edit]

It seems to be important to link this page to Category:Renaissance paintings which contains many more paintings of Raffael. --Pyt 19:21, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Raphael Sanzio, da Urbino, Sforza, Romano[edit]

Raphael is a school of art called Academic Art of The Renaissance, No doubt painting her picture was a class project. Over 500 years some of those have found their way into collections of Renaissance Art. Some of them have found their way into Wiki's collections. Both ways. Some really great artists in their own right have painted her picture. And, some of her pictures have found their way into other artist's galleries. Sorting them out could be an art history class project. This year, decade, century, millennium, HER STORY in art goes way, way back to our beginning, like mother.

All of the usual suspects are here. Raphael, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Leo X, Pietro Bembo. Georgio Vasari, Gulio Romano, Bianca Marie, and her workshop. I spent years digging herstory out of the internet. As far as I went, I could see more that I could read and study. Remember, it is a school of thought, and pay attention to what is happening in the background of our renaissance. Benvenuto Cellini's Autobiography is an eye opener and he's no friend either! Raphael is very, very Catholic.
