Watching a SR-71 take-off in Okinawa[edit]

I was flying an A-4 from Chu lai, Vietnam in 1968. As the SR-71 started it roll two F-4's in full afterburner arrived at full speed. The SR-71 beat the F-4's to the end of the runway and was gone from site. Quite a sight. Any one else seen the kind of take-off situation? 67.158.231.107 19:59, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
