Talk:European Union
Hi, we're gathering a lot of images here, some duplicated, and when I scout around the different Wikipedia's I see how many images aren't on Commons that the other projects could really do with. Anyway, there is also very little chat here so I was wondering if anyone was interested in there being a branch of WikiProject European Union from the English wikipedia here? Just a basic page where people from the different projects can discuss the images and getting/making new ones, common problems, what images are needed. You know, getting the different Wikipedia's talking and getting coordination on Commons. - Who are we? You! I use Swedish by default. The EU has 23 official names, why should we use just your language? (Because you think you're superior to everybody else?) In fact the biggest language in the EU is German and not English. I'll change it back. Aaker 15:00, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

- Latin may be neutral, but not that many people read it these days hence it isn't that helpful (this is an encyclopaedia, not a European Council). I'd prefer Swedish to Latin, though English is most common. We do use too much of it of course, but if we go for anything else then we'll be arguing over who's language is more relevant. I like to think that latin will become the official "European Union" language. Unfortunately, it is not going to happen soon. I am therefore opposing the proposed move. German is the third national language of Luxembourg. "Luxemburg". Only the French and Luxembourgian versions are listed now!
