This page shows stamps issued in the Grand Duchy of Baden between 1851 and 1868.

Regular issues[edit]

First issue May 1, 1851 (1852)[edit]

Numerals, inscribed Deutsch = Oester. Postverein. Vertrag v. 6. April 1850. (Treaty on a Postal Union between Germany and Austria). Values 1 to 9 kreuzer on coloured paper.

Sub-issue 1852[edit]

Same values on new paper colours.

1853[edit]

The 3 kr on green paper is the most usual of Baden numerals.

August 1858[edit]

Last numerals, 3 kreuzer on blue or deep blue paper.

June 1860 - 1862[edit]

First with Coat of Arms, designed by Buhl and C.A. Weber. Typo by W. Hasper after recess (Stich) by L.Kurz. 1 to 9 kreuzer. Perf.13².

1862[edit]

Second Coat of Arms issue. 1, 6 & 9 kreuzer but Perf.10.

26 March 1862[edit]

Narrow perforations 13² on a 3 kreuzer of the next type.

1862-1865[edit]

CoA on a white background designed by L.Kurz. Values from 1 to 30 kreuzer.

1 October 1868[edit]

The value is a short KR.
