English: Routemaster coach RMC1469 (reg. 469 CLT) was delivered to London Transport in August 1962. As with all RMC class buses, it was a coach version of the Routemaster, with a closeable rear door and twin headlamps, delivered to the Green Line express routes division of the London Transport 'Country Area', delivered in Green Line livery, a dark Lincoln Green base, with light green window surrounds and mid-level line, 'Greenline London Transport' fleetnames on the loswer half of the bus, and small 'Green Line' roundels on the upper side of the bus, both positioned in the middle. RMC1469 was taken out of service in May 1964 to be a test-bed for the exterior changes forthcoming RCL class, also for Green Line. It retained these until 1967, when it regained a standard body (and its modified body was given in turn to RMC1502). As with all RMC class buses, the 1967 overhaul saw the adoption of a simplified Green Line livery, with the fleetname altered to just 'Green Line', and with larger roundels, moved to the front, and with the loss of the light green window surrounds. As with all the 'Country Area' buses, it passed ownership to London Country Bus Services in 1970, in turn as with all RMC buses, it was eventually downgraded to bus work, and recieved the lighter NBC green livery. All RMC class buses were eventually bought back by London Transport, over a phased period. RMC1469 passed into LT ownership into September 1980, going into service as a training bus, repainted red. In 1987, RMC1469, by now allocated to Cardinal District's training bus fleet, it was modified to become a mobile recruiting and training office, installing two offices upstairs and downstairs. Initially this saw the application of a red and yellow livery with sivler wheels, but in 1988 after apparent dissaproval from London Buses, this was returnind to standard red. Later that year, with the addition of a white band, it was transferred to the R&T (radio & television?) unit of LT. In November 1994 it was privatised into the fleet of London United, who continued to use it for training/recruitment, until withdrawal and storage in October 1995. By 1998 it was in active preservation, repainted into the first version of the RMC class Green Line livery (which it wore until at least 2004), and has since attended many events. At some point, it passed into the ownership of the Greene Lane vintage bus company, who have slightly altered the livery to a Greene Lane identity, retaining the basic colours, but changing the fleetnames to eliminate the lower level fleetname, and simply use a fleetname on the upper half, consisting of a 'Greene Lane' name positioned next to a roundel bearing the words 'Vintage Transport', with the roundel and fleetname placed in the forward position used on the second RMC Green Line livery version (without window surrounds). From 1999 the restoration of the interior to original condition had begun.
