[edit]@Steinsplitter: Take a look at MediaWiki talk:Histlegend#ep. Sealle (talk) 17:24, 20 May 2016 (UTC)
- @Sealle: As far i can see the new page view tool is providing the same functionality and thus it seems fine to remove the old tool. Regarding privacy it makes sense to remove it as well - we don't know what the external tool is logging. --Steinsplitter (talk) 17:30, 20 May 2016 (UTC)
- @Steinsplitter: Have you read there, that the old tool is still useful for dates before 2015? Sealle (talk) 17:35, 20 May 2016 (UTC)
- @Sealle: Did you read my comment above? It is providing the same functionality as the labs tool, and the labs tool is hosted on wmf servers - not somewhere external where the WMF privacy policy does not apply. --Steinsplitter (talk) 17:39, 20 May 2016 (UTC)
- I re-added the link for now. --Steinsplitter (talk) 17:44, 20 May 2016 (UTC)
- That's the point. Now I see you have read mine. Sealle (talk) 17:48, 20 May 2016 (UTC)
- @Sealle: I did read it before, my privacy concerns remains. And liking to an
internal server error
is not nice at all. --Steinsplitter (talk) 16:49, 21 May 2016 (UTC)- I agree, the string may be modified to open a page with the last information available. Sealle (talk) 16:58, 21 May 2016 (UTC)
- I see you changed it yet, thanks. --Steinsplitter (talk) 16:59, 21 May 2016 (UTC)

MediaInfo links
[edit]Now that Commons files have structured data entities, can we copy the links from d:MediaWiki:Pageinfo-footer "Alternate views", which links to the entity's constraint report, RDF, JSON, etc., to here? Maybe I'm the only one that likes to use the page information to get to these, but I find it useful! Pinging Jarekt? Dominic (talk) 16:15, 14 December 2021 (UTC)
- Dominic I think it is a good idea, but I think most of those links might not copy over well. I could add there some links I know about
- ApiSandbox
- json (action=wbgetentities&format=json)
- json (action=wbgetentities)
- MediaWiki API (coordinates)
- If you know other useful links we can add them too. --Jarekt (talk) 04:57, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
- Dominic are any of the suggested links useful, or are there other links we should include? --Jarekt (talk) 03:02, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
