Roman numbers[edit]

This can be problematic when some pages (like in introductions) are numbered in Roman numbers. In this case, one solution is to create a second DjVu file for these pages. And what's the second solution, if Number one does not help? --Slomox (talk) 23:42, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The link to the djvu creation software is no longer valid. Some searching on my behalf seems to suggest that the parent company of the format is exiting this area of the market to focus on geospatial data exclusively, and are taking their intellectual property with them. As is stands, the long term viability of this format for long-term storage wiki-type information should perhaps be re-assessed.

Extracting PDF files to images[edit]

A very easy and simple tool IMO is PDFMate. It converts to .jpg, 256 colors. --Murma174 (talk) 11:27, 30 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
