For unknown reasons the transclusion of Commons:Chunked uploads works and shows the relevant language of {{Commons upload tools}} at the bottom, unless the language is en or en-GB. Beats me. –Be..anyone (talk) 19:28, 13 February 2015 (UTC)

Can't enable chunked uploads

I want to upload a better, larger version of this video, but it is 603MB. I've used chunked upload for 1 video in the past, but deactivated it after I no longer needed it. Now I can't find a way to reactivate it. According to Commons:Chunked uploads/ja, the option 'Chunked uploads for files over 1MB in Upload Wizard' should be found under 'Preferences > Upload Wizard > Experimental features', but that section only shows the option 'Maximum number of concurrent uploads' in my browser (I'm using Google Chrome and have just updated it to Version 54.0.2840.99 m). Commons:Chunked uploads/ja warns that 'Chunked uploads are not supported by all browsers', footnoting that 'They require slice-method which was introduced in Firefox 5, Chrome 6'. Does that mean browsers other than Firefox and Chrome do support chucked uploads? Well, I've tried Microsoft Edge as well and the problem is the same, so I guess not. Moreover, when I click the link to 'slice-method', I get a page full of technical information I don't understand. Can anyone please help me? If one finds "Creating a new file" hard to follow

If one finds "Creating a new file" hard to follow, or doesn't seem to still work, no worry: just follow "Overwriting an existing file," remembering to change all the particulars before entering the (different) filename. Script no longer appearing
