Gerhart Eisler

English: Gerhard Eisler (born February 20, 1897 - March 21, 1968 in Leipzig) was a German politician. Along with his sister Ruth Fischer, he was a prominent member of the Communist Party of Germany during the Weimar Republic. His brother was leftist composer Hanns Eisler. He was once married to en:Hede Massing, who testified against Alger Hiss in his second trial.
