How can I move this into an PNG-File? --Scheidelhund (talk) 11:58, 18 February 2014 (UTC)

- I want to rename File:Topografische_Karte_Bayern.tif into File:Topografische_Karte_Bayern.png because a browser canont display tiff images. I cannot just upload this as png file, because commons.wikimedia says, that the png image does not match to the type of the filename (tiff). Jetzt sehe ich erst, das TIFF stammt ja von dir ;-) --Scheidelhund (talk) 13:26, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
- Das stammt nicht von mir, ich hab's nur hochgeladen. Als PNG stand lange eine Dateigrößenbeschränkung im Weg, da war TIF die einzige Lösung. Und nein, einfach verschieben geht natürlich nicht, denn sonst hätte das TIF eine PNG-Endung. Du musst es natürlich herunterladen, umkonvertieren und unter neuem Namen hochladen. - Eh klar! Ich habe das PNG schon da, 7,200 × 7,540 und 15 MB groß, aber ich kann es nicht einfach als neue Version deiner beiden TIFFs einstellen sondern muss wirklich eine neue Datei anlegen, und würde dann dein Bild aus dem Artikel Bayern entfernen eind meines reingeben. Das war mir dann doch zu blöd, denn dein Upload würde dann zur "Leiche" werden. --Scheidelhund (talk) 13:43, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
- Das macht aber nichts, wenn das TIF nicht mehr verwendet wird. Du kannst auf der Dateibeschreibungsseite des PNGs ja darauf verlinken. NNW 13:52, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
