Misidentification[edit]

Even though I am not a specialist for this species, this is not Helianthus mollis, see e.g. http://www.missouribotanicalgarden.org/PlantFinder/PlantFinderDetails.aspx?taxonid=277330 , http://www.missouriplants.com/Yellowopp/Helianthus_mollis_page.html , or http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=1&taxon_id=242416635 . For starters, there are a lot less than 75 disk ray florets and the plant looks almost glabrous, with a few recognizable appressed hairs. This does not match. --Robert Flogaus-Faust (talk) 08:43, 20 July 2018 (UTC) You're right. Instead of Helianthus mollis it should have been identified as Heliopsis helianthoides. http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=1&taxon_id=220006190. -- Sixflashphoto (talk) 14:51, 20 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
