Description
Deutsch: Schon der gemeinsame Vorfahre von Pferd und Zebra trug ein dezentes Muster. Im Laufe der Zeit setzten sich die Streifen bei den Nachkommen durch. Die Tsetsefliege sorgte für diese Auslese, da sie nur einfarbige Tiere erkannte und mit Seuchen infizierte.
English: Even the common ancestor of horse and zebra wore a subtle pattern. Over time, the stripes became established in the offspring. The tsetse fly ensured this selection because it only recognized monocolored animals and infected them with diseases.
