“Wachten op hoog water” is een beeld van Jan Ketelaar. Het beeld bestaat uit twee, van metaal gelaste, vrouwen van vijf meter hoog. Een volle vrouw en een dunne vrouw. Ze kijken uit over zee. Het beeld gaat over de zoektocht naar balans en uitwisseling. De beelden staan op de dijk in Holwerd en zijn onderdeel van het landschapskunstproject Sense of Place van Oerol-oprichter Joop Mulder.
“Waiting for high water” is a sculpture by Jan Ketelaar. The statue consists of two women, welded from metal, five meters high. A full-figured woman and a thin woman. They overlook the sea. The image is about the search for balance and exchange. The sculptures are located on the dike in Holwerd and are part of the landscape art project Sense of Place by Oerol founder Joop Mulder.
