DescriptionWWS SoloEngine.ogg |
English: This Solo Engine from the Skoog brothers engine factory in Borlänge, Sweden, was built in the 1930s. It is thought to have been mobile and used to drive early farmwork machinery such as threshers, log splitters and circular saws. At startup the engine runs on gasoline and ignites via a spark plug, but when heated it runs mainly on kerosene, which was a cheaper type of fuel in the time when the engine was used. The Solo Engine is a two stroke engine and has a total engine power capacity of 7 horsepower.
