Herzogenrath 1980 und 2016 / 22 + 29 min Buch/Regie: Dagmar Hänel Die St. Sebastiani Armbrustschützen-Gesellschaft Herzogenrath gehört zu den ältesten Schützengesellschaften Deutschlands. Ihr Königsschießen ist nicht nur wegen des eindrücklichen Armbrustschießens Anziehungspunkt zahlreicher Besucher, es ist zentrales Stadtfest von Herzogenrath. 1980 dokumentierte das damalige Amt für rheinische Landeskunde das Vogelschießen. 2015/2016 erfolgte die Neuauflage des Films in der Reihe „Filmschätzchen“ des LVR-Instituts für Landeskunde und Regionalgeschichte. Der historische Film wurde digitalisiert, restauriert und gekürzt. Ergänzt um einem Kommentar durch Theo Kutsch, einen der inzwischen 90jährigen Protagonisten, zeigt der Film den Wert einer solchen Schützentradition als immaterielles Kulturerbe der Region. |
