Description
English: The Old Testament recounts how God sent a prophet to Bethel to denounce the practice of idol worship. His obedience is put to the test through an old prophet, who invites him to share a meal. Although warned against associating with the evil, he succumbs to temptation. We witness the dramatic moment when the old prophet, as the instrument of the Lord, exposes his own duplicity and condemns his brother to death. The rarely illustrated story reflects a direct engagement with the biblical text.
