| Description |
English: The Common, Lepton Edge 'The Common ' is the name given to the area of gorse bushes and woodland stretching down this valley from Paul Lane. The stream running through 'The Common' is the Beldon Brook, which runs into the pond in Grid Square SE2014. The light brown fields beyond the woodland is the restored opencast working also geographed in Grid Square SE2014. Castle Hill ( Grid Square SE1514 ) can be seen on the right hand side of the picture, almost on the horizon. |
