Description
English:
Water tower. Planned by Szilárd Zielinski. Constructed by Henrik Freund and Son Co. Built in 1904. Octogonal base. , above octagonal tower body is a circular cylindrical water basin. The coat of arms of Szeged can be seen on the entrance section. The table under the five small windows of the plinth section shows the year of delivery (1904). Around it are the statues of the so-called Engineer Pantheon: Szilárd Zielinski (1860-1924), Ede Magyar (1877-1912) city architect, Endre Pálfy-Budinszki (1902-1968), Flóris Korb (1860-1930) architect, Béla Zsigmondy (1848-1916), János Feketeházy (1842-1927), Mihály Tóth (1845-1925) chief engineer of the city. - Szent István Square, Belváros (Inner City) neighborough, Szeged, Csongrád-Csanád County, Hungary.
Magyar:
Zielinszki Szilárd tervei alapján 1904-ben épült vasbeton víztorony. Magassága, a tetején álló zászlórúddal együtt, közel 55 méter. Nyolcszögű lábazati rész, nyolcszögű toronytest felett körhenger alakú 1000 m3-es vízmedence. A bejárati szakaszon Szeged címere látható. A homlokzaton árvízszintjező tábla A lábazati rész öt kis ablaka alatti táblázaton az átadás éve (1904) látható. körülötte az ún. Mérnök Pantheon szobrai: Zielinski Szilárd (1860-1924) építőmérnök, Magyar Ede (1877-1912) városi építészmérnök, Pálfy-Budinszki Endre (1902-1968), Korb Flóris (1860-1930) építészmérnök, Zsigmondy Béla (1848-1916) vízépítő mérnök , Feketeházy János (1842-1927), Tóth Mihály (1845-1925) városi főmérnök.
