Description
English:
One storey 19th century listed gable roof residential building with plaques on its facade. Former Ángyán family (tenement) house. After nationalization circa 1940s till circa 1990 here was the Baranya County branch of the National Monuments Authority. Now here are private flats. Plaque to monumet 'Monument. Neoclassical residential house. It was built in the early XIX century. It was remodelled in Romantic style in the second half of the XIX century. Restored in 1979 by the National Monuments Authority'. Plaque to Ottó Szőnyi ~"Ottó Szőnyi Pécs 1876 Budapest 1937 In memory of the outstanding worker of local and entire Hungarian monument protection" . Plaque-relief to professor János Ángyán by Ferenc Tischler (1986 bronze? relief on a steel? plaque installed in 2017) '~ János Ángyán (1886-1969) From 1923 to 1959 professor of the department of internal medicine of the the Erzsébet University of Pécs, director of the clinic of the university. The modest public hospital of Pécs has been developed into a high-quality clinic during his time. He was revered as a medical teacher by local scientist doctors. As an active public figure, the music scene in Pécs he was also an organizer and supporter. His merit this 18th-century monumental building renovation in the first of the 20th century.'- 15 Szent István Square, Belváros (Inner City) neighborhood, Pécs, Baranya County, Hungary.

A 19. századi egyemletes (vélhetően bér)ház utoljára az Ángyán családé volt. Az államosítás után sokáig itt működött az Országos Műemléki Felügyelőség (OMVH Múzeumi Igazgatóság) Baranya megyei kirendeltsége. 1990 óta magánlakások vannak benne. - Kb a homlokzat közepén 'Dr Szőnyi Ottó Pécs 1876 Budapest 1937 A helyi és az egész magyar műemlékvédelem jeles munkása emlékére.' emléktábla. ÉS a bejárat két oldalán Fekete (elmosodott feliratos) emléktábla: "Műemlék Klasszicista lakóház. Épült a XIX sz. elején. Átalakították romantikus stílusban a XIX. sz. második felében. Helyreállította az országos műmléki felügyelőség 1979-ben." Illetve Ángyán János domborműves emléktábla (Trischler Ferenc szobrászművész készítette a portrét 1986-ban és ezt tették 2017-ben közterületről láthatóvá, erre az emléktáblára helyezve) 'Lakóház és irodák' néven. Műemléki védelem, azonosító: 1805, törzsszám: 176 - Baranya megye, Pécs, Belváros, Szent István tér 15., helyrajzi szám: 18421/4.
