Description
English:
Former Lakits Villa. Early historic (Romantic) style architecture. Planned by a local builder master Ferenc Petz in 1869. Built to,-as a holiday home,- in a bit simplier form to the wealthy iron merchant Ferenc Lakits (Lakics?). Completed in around 1875. Mr. Lakits was a prominent people of the local politic and social life, but he was not aristocrate. He planned the villa use for events to find an a suitor for his girls, among the young, moneyless aristocrats of the imperial cavalry regiment stationed in Pécs. The building inside richly furnished based legends 'as a museum'. Lakits went bankrupt due to his spending lifestyle and sloppy business. It later became the property of the city and functioned as an apartment building. It was divided into several apartments. The old plot was divided and new buildings built on the formerly landscape garden. In the 1940s a boarding school (member of NÉKOSZ) was here. Since 1958 listed. In 2013 its gable wall decorated with the 'Four season' ceramic statue group, these are reconstructions by Ferenc Barna - In 2022, the Generali Insurance Hungary local branch, customer service is here. - 34 Szabadság Street (Heim Pál Street corner), Ispitaalja neighborhood, Pécs, Baranya County, Hungary.

Egykori Lakits-villa (reprezentativ nyaraló). 2022-ben Generali Biztosító ügyfélszolgálata volt az épóületben. A villa korai historizáló (romantikus) stílusban épült. Tervét Petz Ferenc,-Piatsek Gyula pécsi építész tanítványa,-1869-ben rajzolta meg. A kivitelezett változat,-1975?-ben,-ettől némileg egyszerűbb lett. Építésekor nagy díszkertje volt. A telek későbbi felosztása után a ujabb épületek épültek. A villát lakásokra osztották és bérház lett. Az 1940-es években NÉKOSZ kollégium volt. 'Mára a Lakits-villa egykori önmagának csak az árnyéka' (részlet Sonkoly Károly tud. kutató (MvTI., Kutatási Oszt.) munkájából - 2007). Megj. 2010-es években EU-s pénzből felújították, vélhetően több részletet is sikerül helyreállítani. Épületdíszek: A Lakits-villa négy oromszobra avagy a 'Négy évszak' (Avatás 2013, avatás 1875, Gácsi Barna Ferenc, pirogránit kerámia rekonstrukció) A Tavasz kezében egy ölnyi virág látható, a Nyár karjában gabonakévét fog, az Ősz ölében egy szőlővel teli kosarat tart, a Tél mellett egy hóember áll.
