Description
English:
Former Municipal Savings Bank building. Eclectic local grade listed corner building and part of a listed architectural ensemble. Architect: Jenő Berger. Built in 1897. Built to HQ of the Municipal Savings Bank but in fact there were only a part of the groundfloor was bank, other part used by tenants (flats, stores, Café etc.). In 1940 the National Loan Office took over the Kisújszállás Savings. - In 2024 the groundfloor corner room is OTP Bank local branch. Since 1897 here is a post office. There is a post office canteliver sign/sculpture (a crow with postcard/letter, steel building ornament) by Sándor Czobor sculptor (1990) Also on facade is here lived plaque to Kálmán Pólya (1893-1975) chief physician with inscription: "Kálmán Pólya (1893-1975), respected chief physician//who carried out responsible, conscientious health management, healing, obstetric medical activities in our city for half a century, lived in this house.//In recognition of his work, it was erected by the Municipality of Kisújszállás, the City Protection and Beautification Association, the City Pensioners Club and the descendants" - 6 Szabadság Square, Kisújszállás, Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County, Hungary.

Eklektikus épület az 1891-ben létesített Kisújszállási Takarékpénztár székházánal építette 1897-ben Berger Jenő építész. Valójában a földszint se volt 'csak' bankfiók mert a hátsórészen bérlakások voltak, nyitás óta itt van a posta korábban a földszinten volt az Éva presszó is. A Takarékpénztár bevétele kezdetktől részben az épületben kiadott üzlet- és lakóhelységekből állt vagyis lényegében Bérház-Üzletház-Bank épület volt. A pénzintézet (az épület?) 1940-től Nemzeti Hitelintézet Kisújszállási Fiókjaként müködött. Homlokzaton: 'Posta cégér' c. vas épületdísz Czobor Sándor alkotása (1990) ÉS Dr. Pólya Kálmán, szülész-nőgyógyász, tisztifőorvos munkásságára emlékezve Városvédő és –Szépítő Egyesület emléktáblát állított egykori, a mai OTP épületében lévő lakóháza falán 2019 novemberben, a Szociális Munka Napja alkalmából. - "Ebben a házban élt Pólya Kálmán (1893-1975) köztiszteletben álló főorvos//aki fél évszázádon át végzett felelőségteljes lelkiismeretes egészségügyi irányító, gyógyító, szülész orvosi tevékenységet városunkban.//Munkásságának elismeréseként állították Kisújszállás Város Önkormányzata, Városvédő és –Szépítő Egyesület, Városi Nyugdíjas Klub és leszármazottak" Info: kisujivarosvedok.hu/kozteri-alkotasok-emlektablak-emlekhelyek/ - '7.
