English: Z-stack series of images showing co-localization of pericytes and sympathetic nerves in the outer medulla. Pericytes and sympathetic nerves were labeled with anti-NG2, and tyrosine hydroxylase primary antibodies, respectively, and were subsequently probed with fluorescent Alexa-555 (red) and Alexa-488 (green)-conjugated antibodies, respectively. The z-stack series images 5.6 μm through the tissue slice; sympathetic nerves can be seen to run in close proximity to pericytes on vasa recta capillaries. Scale bar = 10 μm. |
