Summary[edit]
DescriptionSymbiogenesis.svg |
English: In Lynn Margulis's 1967 theory, eukaryotic cells were created in three cycles of symbiogenesis, involving Archaea and Bacteria. The third, with photosynthetic bacteria, created chloroplasts and other plant plasmids. The first merger is poorly supported and not now generally believed to have occurred. |
