English: LIBI_00019_00421; This item is an original albumen photograph of Little Big Horn survivors and their wives standing in front of the fence surrounding the Custer memorial at Last Stand Hill. The subjects are, from left to right: Corporal Hall, Sergeant George Horn, Captain McDougall, Mrs. McDougall, Major Benteen, Captain Godfrey, Mrs. Benteen, Dr. Porter, Mrs. Godfrey, Captain Edgerly, George P. Penwell, and White Swan (the Crow scout). The photograph is 6 7/8 x 9 7/8" mounted on brown card with gilded gold or bronze along all 4 edges. The card photograph was produced at on unknown date by David F. Barry. On the front, a typed caption embossed in gold or bronze ink reads, "Custer Monument, on Custer Battlefield, June 16th, 1886."
