Description
English: This historical document is the Deed of Sale for the Summit Woods land by the Royal Society for the Advancement of Learning (now McGill University) to the City of Westmount in 1940. It includes a detailed description of the land plots for which ownership was transferred, the past owners of these land plots, and various easements applicable to the transferred property. The Deed also includes a stipulation that the main parcel of land be used "as a park and playground in perpetuity".
Français : Ce document historique est l'acte de vente du terrain de Summit Woods par la Société Royale pour l'avancement des connaissances (aujourd'hui l'Université McGill) à la Ville de Westmount en 1940. Il comprend une description détaillée des parcelles de terrain dont la propriété a été transférée, les anciens propriétaires de ces parcelles de terrain, et diverses servitudes applicables à la propriété transférée.
