Description

Stickers on posters (hiking and biking tour maps of tourism advertising) in Val Venosta (Vinschgau) with a declaration against the Italianisation of place, river and mountain names by the Italian state during the fascist period.
«8.000 italian „names“ of villages, mountains, rivers in South Tyrol were invented by the fascist dictatorship in the process of „italianizing“ our region. As Europeans and democrats we Tyroleans condemn this cultural crime. The democratic governments of the Republic of Italy have never apologized for the actions taken during the tiem of the dictatorship ― let alone reversed them.
