Description
English: This document summerizes results obtained since the 1970th, on plants regenerated through in vitro tissue culture, and for which a large variability was expressed; because of the homozygosity of the material, this variability was, at first, surprising and controversed. Nevertheless, the genetical analyses of the peculiar regenerants led to uncommon results that make think to the almost forgotten concept of epigenetics or epigenics, this last term being clarified in the body of the text.
Français : Ce document résume des travaux effectués à partir des années 1970, et présente les premières approches de phénomènes exprimés après régénération in vitro des tissus végétaux de matériel homozygote: une large variabilité, longtemps controversée, et des comportements héréditaires inusités des régénérants, soulevant l'étonnement et l'incrédulité. Le suivi scientifique de ces hérédités a fait émerger des domaines, alors presque oubliés: l'épigénétique ou l'épigénique; ce dernier terme sera explicité dans le texte.
