English: Hanging cage test: As described in the text, mice were placed on a standard cage wire lid, turned upside down and allowed to hang for 60 s. At the beginning of the testing period, all mice were able to hold on to the wire for the entire time (60 s), but as the disease progressed, the time they were able to stay attached to the wire was reduced, measured as a fall latency and animals were falling off before the 60 s cut-off. The investigator performing the test was naïve to the experimental condition.
