Русский: Видео иллюстрирует процесс движения трехмерной модели тела C. elegans, снабженного мышечной системой, по поверхности, имитирующей агар-агар, в симуляторе Sibernetic (Sibernetic.org, opensource, C++/OpenCL/OpenGL, Linux/Windows/MacOS), созданном нашей научной группой. На мышечные клетки подаются синусоидальные паттерны возбуждения (левая и правая стороны – в противофазе) – с параметрами, типичными для реальной нематоды. Число частиц, составляющих тело нематоды – около 80000, фрагмент внешнего мира - более 100000. Тело нематоды - эластичная оболочка, наполненная жидкостью под давлением (гидростатический скелет, поддерживающий форму тела), покрытая водонепроницаемой пленкой. Оболочка тела размечена на участки, соответствующие мышечным клеткам реальной нематоды, повторяющие их форму и расположение согласно рисунку File:C._elegans_body_and_muscle_mapping.png. Симулятор тела C. elegans необходим для работы в паре с симулятором ее нервной системы (включая сенсорную, для корректной работы которой как раз и нужны сигналы из внешнего мира - реального или виртуального), работы над созданием которой ведутся в настоящее время. Их исследование и моделирование необходимо для понимания фундаментальных принципов, лежащих в основе устройства и функционирования нервной системы.
