On the 3 of Septem Desember [December] I left
Strasburg [Strasbourg] for Paris 9 dayes jurney [journey]
On my jurney [journey] I past [passed] through maney [many] small
towns sevrill [several] of them ware [were] wald [walled] in the
Walles [walls] of them emens [immense] strong the town
of Lanses [?] is a fine town contaning [containing] about
fiftey [fifty] thousen [thousand] inhabitens [inhabitants] this town
Lies between [between] Strasburg & Paris I past [passed]
through a small town whare [where] thare [there]
was a young ladey [lady] of 22 years of age
this girl god has rote [wrought] a singler [singular] work
Apon [upon] wone [one] wood [would] supose [suppose] thatt [that] the historey [history]
told about hur [her] was fables butt [but] itt [it] is
nott [not] soo [so] this girl when 3 and 4 years of
age thay [they] cood [could] nott [not] keap [keep] hur [her] outt [out] of the
Church She was given to preing [praying]
Continley [continually] at the age of 20 years she
sweat blud [blood] at the ower [hour]of seven
in the after noon and allso [also] bore the
Markes [marks] of our Savour [savior] in hur [her] side
and in hur feat [feet] She has now kep [kept] hur
bead [bed] for the last year and has not
eat nor drink for the last 9 months
