Description
English: Symbol supposed to depict The thunder god Thor, Tiermes or Horagalles depicted on a shaman drum from Porsamger, Western Finnmark. Sami drum depicted and described in Erich Johan Jessen's book Afhandling om de Norske Finners og Lappers hedenske Religion; published in Copenhagen 1767 together with Knud Leem's Beskrivelse over Finmarkens Lapper. The red is the two crossed hammers of Thor or (T)horagalles according to J. A. Friis 1871.
