“Second impression”, the same year as the extremely rare first. A conduct-book written by a Dutch Protestant woman of letters, in fact one her earliest works to appear in print. Her name is not mentioned on the title-page, though it would be added in the third edition of 1769. The title translates as 'Dialogue between a Less and a More experienced Christian on the appropriate spiritual State before, the proper Way to Act during, and the due Observance after a solemn Day of Thanksgiving, Fasting, and Prayer'. Winckelman sought to correct the moral decay and decline of Christian values she perceived in her society. Like all but one of her works, this one was published following her death in 1761
