Summary

[edit]
Description
English: A South Australian Railways train from Glenelg, pulled by P class 2-4-0 steam locomotive no. 123, standing at the line's northern terminus in King William Street south, Adelaide, between Victoria Square and its intersection with Wright and Carrington Streets. There are 8 carriages on the train, the centre four being larger and more recently built than the other four. In the distance is an electric tram travelling on the recently laid tram line next to the train. Just visible beyond a motor car is a similar locomotive to P123 whose role is to safely haul the train back to South Terrace, since the Adelaide city council would only allow a single line in this street. Locomotive P123 would then be uncoupled.
