English: Railway bridge, Station Road Built to carry the great Central Railway. The arch in the brickwork between the two spans is the remains of the entrance on to the platform, where all the station buildings were located. This layout with a single island platform was the standard layout for small stations along the railway. There is a bench mark 4000966 on this end of the right hand abutment. |
