English: Quartz rock. There are many pieces of quartz lying around on Bwlchygarreg. There is a narrow vein of quartz with lead and copper ore which has been mined in the past. There are several trial shafts 1129386 1129532 1129541 and two historic mine complexes, Esgair Hir 1132888 and Esgair Fraith 1132999 to the east. GPS receiver shown for scale. |
