English: Pigeon Mount. Pigeon Mount in the South of Thorndon Country Park was the base for an octagonal summer house and pigeon loft built some time in the seventeenth century. It was once surrounded by a walled orchard. The mount still provides some fairly spectacular views see 1390104. The original tower would have provided an incredible vantage point.
