Description
English:
Saint Stephen of Hungary church. Buiilt in 1983 Architect Dénes Perczel. Replaced the former Immaculate Heart of Mary chapel. The chapel built in 1948 used a former pub-restaurant. The furnishings of the chapel were brought from the Holy Heart Convent in Budapest. The R.C. community has parish title since 1951. The parish building built in 1940 to a residential house and remodelled to religious building/renovated? in 1958. - 36 Szent István Street, Gyálliget neighborhood, Gyál, Pest County, Hungary.

Gyáli Szent István király templom és plébánia. 1983-ban Perczel Dénes tervei alapján épült a korábbi kápolna helyén/átalakításával. A kápolnát,-a községben 1948-ban letelepedett a Jézus Szíve Népleányok" idején,- 1948-ban egy vendéglő /máshol kocsma-táncterem/ átalakításával hozták létre és Szűz Mária Szeplőtelen Szíve tiszteletére ajánlották. Belül: Szűz Mária (rézdomborításos textilaalkotás, Felállítás 1983, Makai Gézáné (textilművész), Perczel Dénes (építész, közreműködő)), Szent István-országtabló (sokalakos, címeres, Szent István aláírásával díszített domborműves rézlemez, Felállítás 1983, Perczel Dénes?), Boldog Gizella ereklye szekrény (festett réz zománc, Perczel Dénes (ötvösművész), Alaxa György (ötvösművész)) Feltámadt Krisztus (réz korpusz, megj. a keresztet fehér falfestés 'jelzi' Felállítás 1983, Perczel Dénes). Gyál templomát 1324-hen említi először egy oklevél, mint Szent György tiszteletére emelt templom. 1736-ban a régi templomot Károlyi gróf a temetőfallal együtt szétszedette, és anyagából kocsmát és istállót építtetett.
