Description
English: Open six-string chords for all perfect-fourths tuning (P4 tuning) for guitar E-A-D-G-C-F in the key of C major: Major triads (C major, F major, and G major) and major-minor seventh with dominant function (dominant seventh G7).
Six-string chords are strummed in folk music and sometimes in rock. Otherwise, guitarists may select 3--5 notes for non-saturated voicings, for example of the dominant seventh without a fifth {G,B,F}; in an ensemble, a rhythm guitarist may select 2 notes, for example, of the dominant seventh {B,F} with the bassist or a soloist each contributing a fifth {D} or the root{G}.
