सिद्धार्थ-अच्छा दीपक, दरसल मैं विकिपीडिया की मौखिक प्रशस्ति परियोजना के अन्तर्गत कार्यरत हूँ जिसके लिये मैनें एक विषय सुर्र का चयन किया है तो क्या आप सुर्र के बारे में कुछ जानते है एवं मैं एक चीज आपको बताना चाहूँगा कि हमारी इस बातचीत को विकिपीडिया कामन्स में रखा जायेगा और विकिपीडिया द्वारा इसका इस्तेमाल किया जायेगा तो आपको इससे कोई

सिद्धार्थ-तो आप सुर्र को कैसे जानते है?

दीपक-सुर्र गाँव में खेला जाने वाला एक खेल है बहुत पहले से खेला जाता है ग्रामीण क्षेत्र में इसे समान्यत कई बच्छे खेलते है मैनें भी इस खेल को खेला है।

सिद्धार्थ-तो यह लगभग १९८०-१९९० के आसपास खेला जाता था।

दीपक-नहीं हाल फिलहाल तो १९९० तक खेला जाता था।

सिद्धार्थ-तो यह लगभग १९८०-१९९० के आसपास खेला जाता था और अब यह नहीं खेला जाता।

सिद्धार्थ-तो आप बता सकते है कि ये कैसे खेला जाता है।

दीपक-देखिये इसमें होता ये है कि एक तो एकदम समतल जगह होनी चाहिये फिर उस जगह पर हम एक वर्गाकार ब्लाक बनायेंगे फिर हम उसमें एक "+" के निशान की चौडी़ पट्टी बना देते है बिल्कुल उसी प्रकार जैसे सड़के एक दूसरे को काटती है चौराहे पे उसी प्रकार की व्यवस्था कर देते है। इसमें दो प्रकार के खिलाडी़ होंगे, अगर मैदान बडा़ है तो अधिक खिलाडी़ खेल सकते है अगर छोटा है तो कम खेल पायेंगे। अधिकतम दोनों पक्षों में १०-१० खिलाडी़ खेल सकते है इससे अधिक होने पर इसे खेलना मुश्किल है। इसमें जो एक टीम रक्षक होती है और एक टीम जो पटटी के कारण वर्गाकार चार खाने बन जाते है उनमें से किसी एक खाने पर होती है रक्षक टीम पट्टियों पर खडी़ रहती है जो कि विपक्षी टीम के खिलाडि़यों को एक खाने से दूसरे खाने में जाने से रोकते है। विपक्षी टीम के खिलाडी़ जो वर्गाकार खाने के अन्दर होते है उन्हें समस्त वर्गों में जाकर उसे छुकर वापिस शुरुवाती वर्गाकार खाने में आना होता है ऐसा एक खिलाडी़ भी कर सकता है और इसे समस्त खिलाडी़ मिलकर भी कर सकते है। इस प्रकार यह सम्पूर्ण प्रकिया होती है इसे पूर्ण करने पर जो टीम रक्षा नहीं कर रही उसे एक अंक मिल जाता है।

सिद्धार्थ-तो ऐसा कुछ स्कोर भी होता है कि यह खेल कितने अंको का होता है।

दीपक-नहीं नहीं इसमें ऐसा कोई प्रावधान नहीं, यह ग्रामीण क्षेत्र पर निर्भर करता है इसे पूरा खेलने में लगभग २ घण्टे लग जाते है इसे गर्मियों में अधिक खेला जाता है।

सिद्धार्थ-ठीक है दीपक जैसा कि मैनें आपको यह बताया कि यह विकिपीडिया मैन में रखा जायेगा इसलिये मैनें आपसे यह सब पुछताछ की। और जैसा कि आपने बताया कि इसमें १० खिलाडी़ खेल सकते है इससे अधिक में मुशिकल हो जाता है और इसे क्या लड़किया भी खेल सकती है?

दीपक-हां जी इसे लड़किया भी खेल सकती है।

सिद्धार्थ-और इस खेल में जो जीतता है वो अन्त में कुछ "बोल रे गैया सुर्र" ऐसा कुछ बोलते है।

दीपक-हां जी, यह एक स्लोगन होता है कि हमनें इस खेल को जीत लिया है जो अपनी जीत को दर्शाने के लिये क्षेत्रिय भाषा में बोला जाता है।

सिद्धार्थ-आप इस खेल के बारे में और कुछ कहना चाहेंगे?

दीपक-यह एक अच्छा खेल है, अच्छा व्ययाम होता है, बच्चों में इससे आपस में अच्छा सम्पर्क होता है लेकिन अफसोस कि गाँव में आजकल यह खेल खत्म हो रहा है।

Deepak-I live in Ambedkarnagar, presently I am working as Economic demonstrator for Uttarkhand Govt. in Rudrapur.

Siddharath-Ok deepak, Actually I was working in a Wikiproject "Oral Citation Project".I choosed a subject Surr for that.Can you share some information regarding this.Before that I want to make you awarw that our converstion will be kept in Wikipedia Commons so do you give your permission for that?

Deepak-Surr is a Game generally played in rural side.It is played by many children in rural side.I have also played this game.

Deepak-No, it was played till 1990

Siddharath-So it was played nearby 1980-1990 and now it isn't played.

Siddharath-Can you tell about its procedure to play?

Deepak- See, For this we require a plain road.We make shape block on that and after that we make a wide strip of "+" Mark exactly in a way a road cut another road Crossroads.This consists players of two types but if Ground is large then more player can participate otherwise less player can participate. Maximum of 10 players can play from two teams if it exceed 10 then it would be difficult to play this.Among two teams one is called preserver who's players stand on the 2 strips and another team players stand in one of the square out of four which are formed due to two strips.Preserver team try to stop movement of opponent team player from one square to another.Target of opponent team is to touch every square and return back to their initial square. During that they shouldn't be touched by players of Preserver team if it happens then such player will out of opponent team. So if opponent team complete this one cycle it gets one point.

Deepak- No there is no rule of such type it depends on different rural areas. It take about 2 hours to complete this game.It is played more in summer season.
