Description
English:
Built to seminary planned by András Petz in Baroque style between 1742 and 1746 Now it is the south wing. Extended in 1771 planned by Mátyás Fölsinger. West wing built in 1883. Its courtyard north fence is (partly) the Middle Age city wall. In the courtyard was the location of the Pécs Cathedral old sandstone apostle statues for over 100 years, nowthese are installed in an arcades next to the Cathedral. On the south facade is a portal-lake entrance decorated with Baroque 19th century reliefs. After nationalization since around 1950 here was the Stately Special Education Institute. After 1990 again R.C. school, official name ~Blessed Maurus of Pannonhalma Catholic Kindergarten, Elementary School, Primary Art School and High School. HQ institution the Kindergarten is in an other building. AND here is the library of the reestablished Seminary (official name now: Episcopal Theological College of Pécs) - 1-3 Papnövelde Street = c. 8 Hunyadi János Street, Belváros (Inner City) neighborhood, Pécs, Baranya County, Hungary.

(iskola részlege) OM azonosító szám: 027264 - Az épület déli szárnya 1742-1746 közt épült. Tervezte: Petz András. Bővítve 1771-ben, Fölsinger Mátyás tervei alapján. Nyugati szárnya 1883-ban épült. Udvarán(ak északi 'kerítése') az északi városfal egy szakasza és itt tárolták (kiállították) Bartalits készítette székesgyház oromfalait díszitő apostolszobrokat (kozterkep.hu) - Nevezetessége a Szent Pál szobordíszes kapuzat A kapuzat középmezőjében az építtető Berényi Zsigmond püspök és a Káptalan kettős címere. A Szent Pál szobor később került a helyére (Speth Ferenc alkotás, barokk mészkő dombormű) 'Papnevelde' néven védett azonosító: 1782, törzsszám: 94 - Baranya megye, Pécs, Belváros, Papnövelde utca (ex Kulich Gyula utca) 1-3 = Hunyadi János utca 8? = Kálvária utca sarok, helyrajzi szám: 17684
